Im purchased this to replace the mangled and short AM/FM radio antenna. I used everything except the cable as I was not going to fish cable thru the bus. Since installing everything else on the existing cable I am amazed about the clarity and reception of this old radio. We were experiencing signal loss and shifting from stereo to mono as we went to one of our furthest schools. Now we have greet reception, no chirping on the speakers, no static, no stereo to mono fluctuations and now two happy souls drive this bus around town. Thanks unity for all you do. Even my special needs kids are more quieter since the music is so clear and understandable. Love the coiled part of the base. that means it will move a bit if something hits it.
